Security Camera Installation in Eastern Oregon
Security Camera Installation in Eastern Oregon
Total Security designs, installs, and supports professional camera systems for businesses, farms, offices, and homes across Umatilla and Morrow Counties and into Union County. Wired IP cameras, clean cabling, fiber for the long runs, and a local team in Pendleton that answers the phone.
Camera Systems Designed Around Your Property
A camera system is only useful if it shows you the right thing when you need it: a clear face at the door, a readable plate at the gate, or what happened at the loading dock at 2 a.m. That takes planning, not just mounting cameras on the corners of a building. We start every job with a site walk, look at distances, lighting, sight lines, and how people and vehicles actually move on your property, and then design a system around what you need to see.
Everything is installed by our own technicians, set up for secure viewing on your phone and computer, and backed by a local team that can come back out when you want to add a camera or something needs attention.
Who We Install Cameras For
- Farms, ranches, and ag operations – shops, equipment yards, fuel, chemical and grain storage, and gates spread across large properties. See agricultural security.
- Food processing, cold storage, and warehouses – docks, truck lanes, perimeter fencing, and interior aisles.
- Retail, restaurants, and service businesses – registers, entrances, stockrooms, and parking lots.
- Dental, medical, and professional offices – entrances, reception, and after-hours coverage placed with privacy in mind. See IT for dental and medical offices.
- Auto repair and service shops – bays, lots, and customer vehicles left overnight. See IT for auto repair shops.
- Homes and rural properties – driveways, porches, detached garages, and outbuildings.
What’s in a Total Security Camera System
Wired IP Cameras
We favor hardwired PoE cameras, including UniFi Protect, because they don’t rely on Wi-Fi or batteries and keep recording through wind, dust, heat, and freezing nights.
Cabling and Fiber
We run our own low-voltage cabling. When a camera or building is past the roughly 328-foot limit of network cable, we install and splice fiber, underground or aerial.
Recording and Remote Viewing
On-site recording sized to how much history you want to keep, with secure phone and desktop access to live video and recorded clips.
Because we also handle UniFi networking and managed IT, we put cameras on a properly set-up network and can keep an eye on them after installation through our Essentials, Advanced, and Complete plans, so a dead camera or full recorder gets noticed before you need the footage.
How a Camera Project Works
- Site walk. We visit, listen to what you’re worried about, and look at the property in person.
- Design and quote. You get a clear written quote showing camera locations and what each one is meant to cover.
- Installation. Our technicians run cable or fiber, mount and aim cameras, and set up recording.
- Walkthrough. We set up the app on your phone and show you how to find and save footage.
- Ongoing support. Add cameras, adjust coverage, or have us monitor system health as part of a plan.
Cameras, Alarms, and Access Control
Cameras show what happened. An alarm system with monitoring gets someone notified while it’s happening, and access control decides who can open which door and when. We install all three, so they can work together instead of as separate systems from separate vendors.

Security Camera FAQ
Wired or wireless cameras?
For most businesses and farms we recommend wired cameras for reliability. Wireless links can make sense for a hard-to-reach spot, and we’ll tell you when that’s the case. Our post on wired vs. wireless cameras covers the trade-offs.
How many cameras do I need?
It depends on what you want to see, not on square footage. During the site walk we map each camera to a specific job, such as an entrance, a gate, or a register, so you’re not paying for cameras that don’t add coverage.
Can you cover buildings that are far apart?
Yes. We run fiber between buildings or out to distant cameras, then tie everything back to one recorder and one app.
Can you work with a system someone else installed?
Often, yes. We’ll assess your existing cameras, recorder, and cabling, keep what’s worth keeping, and replace or expand only what needs it.
What does a camera system cost?
Cost depends on the number of cameras, cable distances, and how much recording you want to keep. Contact us for a site walk and a written quote.
